Once again, I am proud to participate in the Wilmot Warrior Weekend on September 21-22, 2024, in Rochester, NY. Wilmot Warrior Weekend is more than just a first-class cycling, walk, and running event – it’s a celebration of Wilmot’s success in creating new life saving cancer treatments and finding ever better ways to help survivors thrive following treatment.

I'll be making the 75-mile bike ride through apple groves and vineyards along the Lake Ontario shoreline. It will be a beautiful time to think about the people I've known who have lived with cancer – including my Mom, my aunt, and many friends. Wilmot’s importance to the community became crystal clear for me one day while talking with a colleague in the lobby of the building where I work – no fewer than four friends walked by on their way to an appointment during that short 10-minute conversation. We’re all touched by cancer in some way. Our community is incredibly fortunate to have an institution like this close to home, and we all benefit from discoveries our researchers make every day.

People at Wilmot work every day to find ever better ways to prevent, diagnose, treat, and help people live with cancer. My team has doubled its fundraising goal compared to last year, so I hope you'll consider donating to Wilmot to help us keep this work going.

All fundraising will advance world class cancer research and survivorship programs at the Wilmot Cancer Institute and the University of Rochester.
