Join us in showing support for cancer survivorship and research all year round. We hope you’ll not only join us for the Warrior Walk on Sept. 10, but that you’ll consider getting involved in the following events, too.
Wilmot Warrior Days
URMC employees are invited to show their support for local cancer survivors and patients on June 2, July 7 or Aug. 4. Your department can choose a day to participate or join us for all three! Participants each pay $10 per day they participate and receive a T-shirt to wear on the day(s) they’re participating. We’ll take photos of your team on its participation day(s) to post on Wilmot’s Facebook and Twitter pages to show who’s demonstrating support for local cancer survivors, patients and research. To learn more or sign up your department, contact Tiffany Paine-Cirrincione at (585) 276-4715 or Tiffany.Paine@rochester.edu.
Wear Jeans for Wilmot
Companies outside URMC are encouraged to host a Wear Jeans for Wilmot Day. Each participant pays $10 and gets a Warrior Walk T-shirt to wear on the company’s chosen jeans day. Funds go toward the Wilmot Warrior Walk. This is a great way to kick off your corporate team! We’ll send someone to your company to take a photo of your team wearing Warrior Walk shirts to post on Wilmot’s Facebook and Twitter pages. To learn more or sign up, contact Tiffany Paine-Cirrincione at (585) 276-4715 or Tiffany.Paine@rochester.edu.
Batavia Survivors Night
Cancer patients and survivors as well as their family and friends are invited to join Wilmot Cancer Institute for a game at Dwyer Stadium on Friday, July 28 as the Batavia Muckdogs take on the State College Spikes. Tickets cost $4 and will go on sale June 19 at WCI Batavia, 262 Bank St., Batavia.
Survivors Night at Frontier Field
Back for its fifth year, Survivors Night at Frontier Field in Rochester brings together Rochester’s cancer community to celebrate life beyond cancer. The event takes place Friday, Aug. 11 as the Rochester Red Wings take on the Norfolk Tides. Tickets cost only $4 and go on sale starting July 3. They’ll be sold at multiple Wilmot Cancer Institute locations. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. but you’ll want to make sure to arrive at 6:15 so you can join us for the cancer survivors’ parade on the field. Check back for sale dates and other details as the event gets closer.
Our employees and volunteers are planning more events that will support the Wilmot Warrior Walk. Check this page regularly to find out what’s coming up, or like us on Facebook for the latest updates.
