Thank you for joining our Strong Stroll team! Our amazing boys, Wyatt and Tommy were born just days apart at Strong Memorial Hospital and little did they know, they would become close friends (they didn't have a choice!). Sarah (Wyatt's mama) and Morgan (Tommy's mama) met in the NICU Family Lounge as Wyatt was undergoing a lifesaving procedure, and a fierce bond between their families was formed. They often prayed together, ate together, and leaned on each other for support while their sons fought for their lives.
This year we are fundraising for the Music Therapy program and have a goal of $5,370.00. This number represents the 537 combined days Wyatt (422 days) and Tommy (115 days) spent inpatient at GCH. Music Therapy played a significant role in Wyatt and Tommy's healing by improving their quality of life, reducing stress, and aiding breathing, heart rate, feeding, and sleep. Music Therapy is crucial for children like Wyatt and Tommy, and is only funded through donations, making it a limited but necessary resource at GCH.
The annual Stroll for Strong Kids Walk and 5K Run will be held on June 1, 2024 where Golisano Children's Hospital supporters will enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere full of activities.
