As most of you know, I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2018 and endured a long 2.5 years of treatment. This past March, I was fortunate to be able to celebrate 5 years in remission, but my journey serves as a constant reminder of the countless others who continue to fight. As I’ve reflected on everything I went through, I feel a deep sense of gratitude for the support I received throughout my own battle with cancer, and because of that I’m extremely passionate about giving back to the cancer community and supporting others currently battling the disease as well as future generations.

I understand the significance of scientific progress and how it directly impacted my life and those of fellow survivors. Without the advances that were made through cancer research to improve the treatment for A.L.L., I might not be here to share my story today. I experienced the physical and emotional toll that cancer has, not only during active treatment but in the years following as well, and I know that the support you receive makes a world of difference.

I am proud to participate in the Wilmot Warrior Weekend on September 29 – October 1st, 2023, where I’ll be walking in honor of my incredible support system who I truly could not have survived without—my family, friends, and my care team at Wilmot—and in honor of all those who cancer has taken from this world too soon.
