This past year was full of ups and downs. As some of you may know my dad passed away in April after a battle with cancer. He fought for 3 years and had some good times and bad times, but ultimately the cancer got the best of him. In those 3 years due to some of the advancements made with treatments and options available to us, we were able to make some great memories with him that we will all cherish forever. In January, one of my closest friends was diagnosed with cancer and continues his fight. In addition, we personally had a scare during this year with Cheryl and a cyst in her throat. She was treated at the Wilmot Center by some of the best doctors and we got some great news following the surgery and removal of the cyst. All that said, I couldn't think of a better cause right now then to help the Wilmot Cancer Institute and University at Rochester.
I am proud to participate in the Wilmot Warrior Weekend on September 21st & 22nd, 2024 in Rochester, NY. Wilmot Warrior Weekend is more than just a first-class cycling, walk, and running event – it’s a celebration and movement fueled to create new life saving treatments and cures for cancer patients in New York and around the world.
All fundraising will advance world class cancer research and survivorship programs at the Wilmot Cancer Institute and the University of Rochester. Please consider supporting my efforts by donating to my fundraiser and let’s leave cancer in the dust.
