My family and I are proud to participate in the Wilmot Warrior 5k on September 22, 2024 in honor of my mom (and my kids' beloved Nana), Marianne Eisenhardt. My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in April of 2022. After undergoing the whipple surgery immediately after diagnosis mom began treatment at Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester. She began with a 3 dose chemo regimen in July of 2022 and has since completed 61 chemo treatments! She is on her third type of treatment and we attribute her success to her amazing doctors, nurses, and staff at Wilmont. 

The phenomenal care that mom receives from Wilmot has always focused on whole person treatment, providing new and innovative treatment approaches that focus on stopping the spread of cancer and allowing her to live her best life. We are so grateful for the care she receives here and hope that this event will help to fund additional advances in cancer research for her and others. 

All fundraising will advance world class cancer research and survivorship programs at the Wilmot Cancer Institute and the University of Rochester. Please consider supporting my efforts by donating to my fundraiser and let’s leave cancer in the dust!
