September 21—22, 2024

There’s always a feeling of celebration in the air for the Wilmot Warrior Weekend and that is all because of our community who care enough to support cancer research and survivorship care at Wilmot. We were excited to expand the event to cover a whole weekend in 2023, including the first-ever Wilmot Breakaway Ride, which required a lot of work, support, and inspiration from our community. We’re looking forward to those wonderful feelings of celebration and inspiration again in 2024!

You all came through to back Wilmot and we are so grateful.

We had nearly 300 riders join us Saturday and more than 1,200 runners and walkers with us Sunday. A few individuals even braved both the bike ride Saturday and the 5K on Sunday! Plus, we had more than 100 volunteers who gave their time to help the event run smoothly. The weekend raised more than $335,000.

While we raised money that will prove vital to strengthening cancer research and survivorship care at Wilmot, we get something even more important out of events like this: inspiration and motivation to keep doing this critical, life-saving work.

Knowing so many people in the community stand with us motivates us to want to do better for our patients and for our community. Your support means so much to all of us at Wilmot Cancer Institute.

If you are interested, please take a look at our photo gallery on Facebook or this inspiring wrap-up video from the weekend. Participants may be interested in viewing the 5K results and the Wilmot Breakaway finish line photos from Robin Hood Racing. If you are willing, please consider sharing your feedback in this online survey to help us make this event even better for next year.
