Rowen Michael Peck was born through emergency C-section at 29 weeks. He was born on the evening of Dec 16, 2019 weighing 3lbs 4oz and was 15 inches long. Golisano was able to make sure both mother and child delivered safely and were treated with top notch comfort and care. Rowen had to spend two months in the NICU before he developed fully enough to come home. His lungs and liver were still in the late developing stages when he was born. He was under special care for the first month as he did need to have his bilirubin levels monitored daily to make sure his body stayed balanced while continuing to grow. Emotionally, it was not an easy experience to work through but because of the nature of his early delivery we were just so thankful he was continuing to thrive outside of the womb. Golisano was so wonderful to our whole family! We couldn’t thank the staff enough for what they did for our beautiful boy.  He showed us all immense strength for such a brand new little human. We will never forget how much this experience truly changed our lives. We became a stronger unit for him and he became our biggest miracle!

The annual Stroll for Strong Kids Walk and 5K Run will be held on June 4, 2023 where Golisano Children's Hospital supporters will enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere full of activities.
