On March 22nd, 2023, Emory made his grand entrance into the physical world three months before his due date. He spent 82 days in the NICU at Golisano Children's Hospital where he was given the care needed to help him survive and eventually thrive.
Golisano Children's Hospital has a special place in my heart and in the hearts of my family members. It's hard for me to think about what life might be like today had Emmy not received the care that he received from the wonderful team at Strong. It has to be mentioned - We acknowledge that we are some of the lucky ones, and not a moment goes by where I am not filled with gratitude beyond words.
On June 1st, Matt, Emory, and I will be participating in the Stroll for Strong Kids Walk. If you feel called and are comfortably able, please consider donating. Your donations will help more babies, kids, and families who find themselves in situations where they need all the help they can get.
