STEEL Lillies 2

Wilmot Warrior Walk
September 7, 2021 - Update

We’re Walking! Tomorrow Evening!!
Tomorrow, September 8th, is the date we are walking (in person or virtually) to raise funds to support the Wilmot Cancer Institute.
We are forever grateful for all that Wilmot has done and continues to do for those we love.

As we continue to raise money for Wilmot Cancer Institute, we are asking Family and Friends …

To Remember OUR Sassy and Always Smiling, Tiffany Bayer Lill
Our Family WILL ALWAYS Remember Tiff. ALWAYS!

Our STEEL Lillies 2 Team will be walking at Highland Park.
We will begin to meet at 5:00 pm in Highland Park at Max Lill Drive, near the Viet Nam Memorial.
And we’ll begin Our Walk at 6:00 pm

This will be a very casual walk. No particular distance mapped out. But we will provide directions :)
It looks like the weather will be perfect, mid 70s.
We hope many of you will come, either to walk or to stop and say hi.
Bring a chair.
We’ll have water and juice.
We also have a STEEL Lillies memento for everyone who attends and to those who have donated to The Wilmot Warrior Walk.

We So Appreciate your Love and Support

We Absolutely Do!

We would really love to have you join us. Hopefully, it will be a beautiful evening for a walk!
We would just ask if you are not vaccinated, please plan to wear a mask.

Whether you will be joining us next Wednesday or doing your own virtual walk, we appreciate your support.

If you want to donate online or would prefer to make a donation next Wednesday…. any amount will be appreciated.

We so look forward to seeing any of you who will be joining us.

Our Love To All!

2021 Wilmot Warrior Walk! …… We Will Be Walking!!

Our Family has formed our STEEL Lillie 2 Team because 9 Years Ago, our niece, Tiffany, died as a result of Sarcoma Cancer.
Tiff had 2 Beautiful Young Children when she died.
Payton was 12 and James, 9. They are now 21 and 18.
Tiff has missed so many huge milestones in their lives. All of us have been there to celebrate those special events. But it's absolutely not the same without her. She would be SO PROUD!

We will be walking in the 9th Annual Virtual Wilmot Warrior Walk to raise money so that MORE Research will result in Amazing Results.

Our STEEL Lillies 2 Team is working on details of a date to walk.
We’re thinking that there might be some of you that would like to join the Bayers and Lills.
We’re working on details of the location, date and time and will share that with you next week.

If you would like to support our Team, we would Love That!

Thank You to those who have already made a donation.
We SO appreciate your love and support.

With So Much Love

I am back again….no WE’RE back again. STEEL Lillies 2!

This year, The Wilmot Cancer Institute is celebrating its 9th Annual Warrior Walk. So, our STEEL Lillies 2 Team is READY!

Our STEEL Lillies 2 Team will make this a somewhat Virtual Warrior Walk again this year, as we’re well aware that COVID-19 has not yet left us.  Last year we met at Highland Park. So once we figure it out, we'll let you know when and where.
We will figure it out …. Soon.  And it WILL happen by September 12th!

This particular fundraiser is so important to me AND to MY family, as it supports both cancer research at Wilmot Cancer Center, including sarcoma research, and the Survivorship Program:

Wilmot Research
• Wilmot Cancer Institute is the epicenter of cancer control research, as one of two U.S. hubs for the National Community Oncology Research Program.
• Wilmot is a trailblazer in aging and cancer research and starting one of the nation's first geriatric oncology clinics.
• Wilmot is at the forefront of lymphoma research by often leading the nation in clinical trial accruals

Cancer Survivorship Program
The Survivorship Program works with cancer survivors, providing information on the frequency of follow-up visits, tests and procedures that individuals may require in the future, as well as supportive services that may be needed. The Program also provides community resources that can assist survivors in their recovery.

I would really appreciate your support.
I have so many relatives and close friends who have been affected by this horrible disease.
This is one way we can help to make a difference.

Thanks So Much!

With Love,
Sue
