2020 Warrior Walk: Celebrating Life Beyond Cancer

Team Kathleen Strong

Each year, thousands of people are diagnosed with cancer. It’s time to bring the community together to make a difference for those cancer impacts, including myself.

I was diagnosed with a Brain Stem Glioma just 6 days after my 29th birthday in February. Wilmot Cancer Center was a scary place to think about, but every single person; doctors, nurses, techs, secretaries, are all incredible people who made me feel "normal" from my first day coming in tears. Please consider joining me in a virtual walk September 12th, to raise money for this incredible life-saving place or even just making a donation would be so incredibly appreciated! It's because of this Cancer Center and the people there that my tumor shrunk to the degree that it did!

The research efforts are incredibly important as my brain cancer is incurable and the only way to find a cure is to continue research and studies. This is an extremely important and personal piece of this walk to me.

Proceeds support the Judy DiMarzo Cancer Survivorship Program and cancer research efforts at Wilmot Cancer Institute. Show your support by joining our team; Team Kathleen Strong today!
