I promised I'd do it again after the 2018 Walk and it's time to make good on that promise.
During my 15 Avon Walks, I had some distance from breast cancer but this year it came close as my best friend and soulmate had to deal with breast cancer up close and personally. I was with her through diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. I saw first hand the benefits of the dollars raised for those Avon Walk.
New drugs, new treatment regimens, new techniques and technology have all started as just ideas that needed to be developed. They are just seeds that need to grow and it is research money that makes those seeds grow. That is where you come in!
The money raised at the Wilmont Walk stays right here in Rochester to support long term and short term research and survivorship programs.
Let's put an end to cancer!
