Welcome to Isabelle and Anna Bright's Home Page
The 21st annual Stroll for Strong Kids Walk and 5K Run will be held at Genesee Valley Park on June 3rd where Golisano Children’s Hospital supporters will enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere full of activities. Support us by clicking on my “Donate Now” button!
The Bright family is participating in this event as part of Lauren's Legacy. Lauren's Legacy has committed to raising $250,000 over five years to support the new hospital, and this is the fifth year of the effort. The hospital has created a healing garden named in Lauren's honor. Lauren’s Garden is open to all visitors of Golisano Children’s Hospital and Strong Memorial Hospital, providing a place of solace, comfort, and healing. The garden includes an ornamental concrete paver in Anna and Isabelle's name recognizing their significant fundraising efforts on behalf of Lauren's Legacy over time.
We have established a goal of $1,000 in support of Lauren's Legacy in 2017. Anna, Isabelle, Kelsey and Craig will all be participating in the stroll. As you are probably aware, both Anna and Isabelle owe their lives to dedicated, skilled healthcare professionals who helped deliver them from serious and potentially fatal medical conditions. Anna, who was born prematurely at 26 weeks and weighed 1 lb., 5 ounces, was given a 50-50 chance of survival. She is just completing her second year at Finger Lakes Community College. Isabelle suffered from HLH, a rare immune system disorder with a survival rate of about 40%. She was saved by a bone marrow transplant at Golisano Children's Hospital when she was a year old, and is a happy and healthy eleven year old today.
